1. Who we are
VENTURE (Volunteer Enterprise Network to Uplift Rising Entrepreneurs) is a student-run non-profit organization based in Diamond Bar, California. We pair student crews with local businesses to produce marketing work at no cost. VENTURE is the organization responsible for the information described in this policy.
For anything in this policy, including requests about your own information, contact us at venturediamondbar@gmail.com. We aim to reply within five business days.
This policy covers venturenonprofit.org and the two application forms hosted on it. It does not cover other websites we link to, such as Instagram, which have their own policies.
2. What we collect and why
We collect only the information you choose to type into a form, and each field exists for a stated reason. We do not collect your information from any other source, and we do not build profiles about visitors.

Please do not send us information we have not asked for. We do not need government identification numbers, financial details, health information, or school records, and we ask you not to include them in the free-text boxes.
3. How we collect it
There is exactly one way we collect information from you: you submit one of our two forms. There is no account to create, no login, and no newsletter sign-up on this site.
Separately, and like every website, loading our pages causes your browser to contact the services that deliver the page. Those services receive your device's IP address as an ordinary part of that request. We do not use that information to identify you, and we do not receive a log of it.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the small number of service providers that make the site and the forms work:
- Formspree (formspree.io) delivers form submissions to our email inbox and keeps a copy in our form dashboard. Their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers it to your browser. Their privacy policy.
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) serves the typefaces used on every page. Their privacy policy.
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) serves the animation code used across the site.
- Google Workspace (Gmail) holds the inbox that receives your application.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to protect someone's safety. If that ever happens, we will tell the people affected unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.
VENTURE does not currently process donations or payments on this website. If online giving launches in the future, it will run on a payment provider's own secure page, card details will never pass through this site, and this policy will be updated before that goes live.
5. How long we keep it

Deletion covers both our email inbox and our form provider's dashboard. If you ask us to delete something sooner, we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
6. Children and students under 18
This website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will remove it.
Students aged 13 to 17 are welcome to apply. When an applicant tells us they are under 18:
- The form requires a parent or guardian email address before it can be submitted.
- The applicant must acknowledge that we will contact that parent or guardian.
- We email the parent or guardian and wait for their confirmation before the student takes part. The application is not accepted until that confirmation arrives.
- We do not ask minors for their school, home address, phone number, or date of birth.
7. Information for parents and guardians
If your child has applied to VENTURE, you may at any time ask us to show you what we hold about them, correct it, or delete it, and you may withdraw your permission and have them removed from the program. Email venturediamondbar@gmail.com and we will act on it promptly.
We will never publish a student's name, photograph or work attributed to them without a signed parent or guardian release.
8. Your rights and how to use them
Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Show you the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it.
- Stop contacting you entirely.
To use any of these, email venturediamondbar@gmail.com from the address you used on the form, or tell us which application it concerns. We do not charge for this and we do not require a specific form of words. We aim to respond within five business days and to complete the request within 30 days.
9. How we protect your information
We keep the amount of information we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection available to an organization our size. In addition:
- The entire site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, which is enforced by the browser.
- Form submissions travel directly to our form provider over that same encrypted connection.
- The accounts that receive applications are protected with multi-factor authentication, and access is limited to the adult-supervised VENTURE accounts.
- The site sets a strict content security policy, so the browser will refuse to run code that we did not publish.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell the people affected promptly and explain what happened.
10. Cookies, analytics and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers. We do not know who you are when you browse the site, and we do not track you across other websites.
Because we do not track anyone, there is nothing to opt out of, and the site behaves identically whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal.
11. Our legal position
VENTURE is a non-profit organization. Several privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), are written to apply to commercial operators, and non-profits like ours generally fall outside their scope.
We have chosen to follow their protections anyway. The parental consent process in section 6, the deletion rights in section 8, the retention limits in section 5, and our refusal to sell data all meet or exceed what those laws would require of a commercial organization. We think families deserve that regardless of what the law compels.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date and version number at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle information already given to us, we will say so clearly here and, where we can, email the people affected.
